The Myrtle Road Story

Myrtle Road is bringing together a myriad of my skills, knowledge, networks and passions to give you, maybe a new insight, a new connection, guidance and support, a new road to travel or just some joy through connecting with flowers and plants.

Welcome to the Myrtle Road Collective.

Whilst Myrtle Road may appear to be several different businesses, there is a connection between them all and hence we offer a diverse range of services.

We provide services in Consultancy and Small Business Coaching as well as advocacy and coaching in sustainability.

We also provide sustainable Floristry services for the local area , for events and for businesses, venues and accommodation bringing the beauty of nature inside.

There is much to offer within Myrtle Road and we have an extensive network to draw on to help guide and support your business.

Hello my name is Kylie McKellar-Lewis and like many people, I could write a book about my life. We have all been on different journeys so far in life, mine is not so different from most. There have been many struggles and many highlights but I am entirely grateful for it all.

So how would I like you to know me right now and what do I have to offer?

I am a mum of two teenage boys living with my husband in beautiful Emerald in  Victoria, Australia.  We have built and run several businesses in different arenas – Building/Construction, Retail and Hospitality (Pubs & Accommodation).

I grew up surrounded by multi faceted people. My parents were business owners which gave me great insights and teachings in the business world. I also had many adventures/moments with my family to wonder at nature – this was instilled from a young age and I have much appreciation to have had these experiences.

The collective of my upbringing, personal journey and my work life has culminated to this point in time of being able to put everything together in the one business. My wish is to create, connect, advocate and educate within my business.

With respect to the services I provide;

Consultancy, Coaching & Collaboration services comes from my broad knowledge of running different types of small businesses

Floristry and Plants comes from my horticultural background.

Sustainability – comes from wanting to make a difference for our natural world.

Geomancy/Land Healing comes from my connection with nature and the land

My business experience – I have had a multi-faceted career ranging from working and running businesses in Administration, Landscape construction, Horticulture, Project management, Tree transplanting, Building administration, Hospitality, Accommodation and Retail and even taught traineeships along the way. You can probably guess that I am a very multi skilled person and have a wide range of knowledge in a lot of different modalities.

My spiritual & holistic connection – During my career I have always be compelled to broaden my interests in the spiritual and holistic arena and this has run side by side with my career leading me here. My studies and interests have included Massage, Bowen Therapy, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Aura Soma, Geomancy and Coaching. Whilst I am a spiritual person, I am also very pragmatic and practical. I am not known to run off with the fairies lol!

You will also see the topic of sustainability weaved through out. This topic is integral to everything we do from now on in our lives to help preserve our wonderful planet for ourselves and future generations. At the heart of Myrtle Road is the call to reconnect to nature so that we can grow our appreciation for what it brings to us. We can then choose a more sustainable way of life. Little changes can make big impacts.

Sometimes your life’s purpose slowly unfolds and flourishes over time. For me this is a continual evolvement and as I have discovered every little thing in life connects, we may not always see it but its there.

They say it can take but one word, one person, one moment to change the trajectory of your life. Remember you always get to choose which road you take and the story that goes with it.

So, I look forward to meeting you and becoming a small part of your journey in life.

Why the name Myrtle Road?

The myrtle tree coined its name back in Ancient Greece, derived from the word ‘myrtos’ meaning ‘sprig’. Both the myrtle tree and its flowers are adored by many and thus became a symbol of all things love, good luck, and prosperity. I love trees and their majestic form. Trees have a definite purpose in their lives, their rings tell a story and they definitely have an infinite connection with human beings. Our connection with nature is integral to our well being during our time on earth. Part of what I bring to you is an opportunity to re-connect and bring a part of nature into your life which can lead to an enhanced level of well being.

The name Myrtle Road represents a destination, a different road to travel with purposeful, joyous outcomes.

Why the Echidna?

The echidna is generally a solitary animal making it’s way in the world using it’s senses. The echidna is so unique and can teach us about the value of focusing on the little things, the small details in all areas of our lives, finance, relationships, our home or anywhere we may be. By doing this it can make the bigger picture in life that much more successful and nourishing. For me the echidna is a part of the symbolism of Myrtle Road – the re-connection to our senses and intuition about who we are and where we want to go in life.  Some of my services can genuinely help you expand your senses and intuition so that you can feel a heightened feeling of integrity to all that you truly value.

MYRTLE ROAD overall represents taking the opportunity to travel a different road at any stage of your life and gain a new perspective that could potentially enrich your experiences even more. For me Myrtle Road can be anything I want it to be based on my skills, my passion and my joy at any given moment.
